Immaculate Heart of Mary,

The readings collectively speak of God’s self-revelation, through Israel and to all peoples. Isaiah prophesies that God’s chosen people will be a light to the nations. Paul also speaks of God’s revelation in the early church, that Gentiles as well as Jews are recipients of God’s grace poured out in Jesus. The gospel shares this truth in practice, as the magi from the east come to experience God present in the child Jesus. God appears to us in the grand and the brilliant, like the Star of Bethlehem. At other times, God appears to us in the smallest of the small, like the newborn child lying in a manger. God desires to make himself known to us, to reveal his infinite love—in the silence of prayer, in the embrace of a loved one, in the gift of himself in the Eucharist. Where is God trying to reveal himself to you today? Fr. Quang, Fr. Candelario, Fr. Huong, all the Deacons and the Staff of IHM would like to wish you a Very Happy New Year. Imaculado Corazon de Maria,

Las lecturas hablan colectivamente de la autorrevelación de Dios, a través de Israel y a todos los pueblos. Isaías profetiza que el pueblo elegido por Dios será luz para las naciones. Pablo también habla de la revelación de Dios en la iglesia primitiva, que tanto los gentiles como los judíos son receptores de la gracia de Dios derramada en Jesús. El evangelio comparte esta verdad en la práctica, ya que los magos de Oriente vienen a experimentar a Dios presente en el niño Jesús.
